Grimsby Farmers' Market is the heart of seasonal community life in Grimsby, bringing fresh local produce, handmade goods, and neighbourhood energy to town every week. Traditionally held right in Downtown Grimsby each Thursday from early June through the Fall — where Main Street comes alive with farmers, artisans, and families — the 2026 season will see this beloved market move to the newly expanded Major Refrigeration Peach King Centre to accommodate downtown construction. Whether you’re picking up Niagara-grown fruits and vegetables, meeting friends over local eats, or enjoying a leisurely summer outing, the Farmers’ Market celebrates our region’s agricultural roots and vibrant community spirit all season long.

During construction, the Grimsby Farmers' Market will take place at the Community Center.

Set up as a “Home Grown” Market, our vendors grow their own product and take the time to answer all the questions of the shoppers at the market. The Grimsby Farmers' Market runs rain or shine for the entire season. Thursdays from the beginning of June until Thanksgiving Weekend 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Main Street, downtown Grimsby.

Official ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the continued growth of Grimsby Community Preschool. This event commemorates the opening of two licenced childcare sites and recognizes the expansion of quality childcare services available to families in our community.

Following the ceremony, guests will have the opportunity to tour the preschool facilities, meet the educators, Board of Directors, community partners, and families, and celebrate this important milestone together.

Proceeds from this shopping event will go to directly to the GBF Community Services' Back to School program. This program helps local children by collecting backpacks, school supplies, snacks, and shoes for over 225 students.

Donations of non-perishable food items & school supplies are welcome.

Movie Nights in the Park return to Coronation Park this August. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy free outdoor movies under the stars with family and friends.

Join us for a relaxed summer evening in the park under the stars. Movies will begin at dusk, so come early to find a spot, settle in, and enjoy the atmosphere. Snacks, cozy seating, and good company are encouraged.

The Merchants of Grimsby Board holds its monthly meeting on the second Wednesday of each month. These meetings are open to board members and are an opportunity to discuss ongoing initiatives, upcoming events, and matters related to supporting local businesses in Grimsby.
